Russian composer Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky is known primarily for his compositions for ballet and opera, but he also received wide-spread recognition for his orchestral works. His Opus 53, Suite No. 2 in C Dur (C Major), known as the "Suite characteristique" was composed in 1853 and widely lauded. It is presented here in a reduced score version transcribed for one piano/four hands.
