Austrian composer Franz Scubert, like many of his contemporary Roamntic era composers, had a strong interest in writing music for the popular dances of the day. This collection features three of his compositions written for solo piano in a style known as a ecossaises. This was a popular lively Scottish dance composed with a time signature in 2/4. It is a style of music that is a pleasure to perform!
