Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov is considered by many to be the premier Russian composer of the Romantic era in music. Carrying with him the reputation as one of the members of a nationalistic group of composers known as "The Five", Nicolai acheived world-renowned status because of his brilliant orchestral works, as well as his insightful instructions into the creation of this genre of classical music.
